Description

This communication aims to reflect on the Environmental Impact Assessment current state
in the Noise and Vibration field: what are the main difficulties encountered in the developing these
factors in carrying out the Environmental Impact Statements and what improvements are needed
most. It will be analyzed what positive contribution can be given by the AIA Competent Experts
Qualification (QPAIA in portuguese) - whose Regulation entered into force on March 31, 2019 -
to the extent that it provides for the continuous training of Consultants, Administrators and Proponents
in line with their area of expertise. It will also be analyzed the positive dynamics that such a system
could bring to the teaching and research of Noise and Vibration in Environmental Impact
Assessments (AIA's in portuguese).
