Organisational Structure
The organisational structure of the SCHIU Group is made up of 4 divisions and 5 sectors, whose initials form the acronym EIS A SCHIU (meaning "Here is SCHIU" in portuguese), as explained below.
EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT DIVISON - DAE
This division is dedicated to Environmental Acoustics, having dedicated software (eg Cadna A and AEDT) and specialised equipment (eg class 1 sound level meters) carrying out the following main types of work: Environmental Impact Studies, Strategic Environmental Assessment Studies, Noise Maps, Measure Projects, Monitoring, Determination of Measure Effectiveness
INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT DIVISON - DAI
This division is dedicated to Environmental Acoustics, having dedicated software (eg Cadna A and AEDT) and specialised equipment (eg class 1 sound level meters) carrying out the following main types of work:
Acoustic Projects, Conformity Demonstration Studies, Acoustic Assessments, Assembly of Conditioning Solutions, Calibration of Sound Limiters.
SENSITIVE ENVIRONMENT DIVISION - DAS
This division is dedicated to the Protection of Workers against Noise and/or Vibrations, carrying out the following main types of work: Assessment of Workers' Exposure to Noise, Assessment of Workers' Exposure to Vibrations
ACCREDITATION DIVISION - DA
This division is dedicated to guaranteeing the quality of the SCHIU product, developing procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors. To carry out accredited in situ acoustic measurements, SCHIU has a partnership with an Accredited Laboratory to whom it subcontracts the performance of these measurements.
Software Sector - SS
This sector is dedicated to the development of technical software for acoustics and/or productivity increase.
Consulting Sector - SC
This sector is dedicated to providing specialised consultancy in acoustics and others.
Heuristic Sector - SH
This sector is dedicated to research in acoustics and others.
Instructional sector - SI
This sector is dedicated to the development of specialised training in acoustics and the like.
Tools Sector - SU
This sector is dedicated to the development of general and specific tools for acoustics and similar work.
